
Funky Train: Jumbo Quest for Mumbo Friends
♪ Welcome aboard the Funky Train ! ♫
Your goal is to gather all 9 of your friends along the way and play music together!
But the journey won’t be easy, some paths require specific friends to pass through, and others can’t be used by everyone.
Choose between two quests:
- The Jam Quest is an easier map that was originally made for the GMTK Game Jam 2025. Let the funky vibes guide your journey! (Windows build only because of a bug)
- The Puzzle Quest is a more challenging, puzzle-centric map made for the Post-Jam "Jam" #11. You'll need to think ahead or else you'll never manage to gather up everybody! (It is also designed to be playable first without having to play the other map first)
Due to an obscure bug, the "Jam Quest" map can't load on web. If you wish to play this map, there is a downloadable windows build containing both maps at the bottom of the page.
Aside from that, the web version should work fine on most systems. If you have issues with audio slowing down or screeching, or bugs with the camera not moving for instance, use the windows build.

🕹️Controls:
Interact with the levers in the game and move the camera around.
Zoom in or out with the camera.- ↔️ Slide the middle lever to orient the train.
- ↔️ Slide the right lever to change the speed.

To get Ruddy🥁, you need to take the sharp turns and leave Parker🎷.To get Stevie🎹, you must have Ruddy🥁 onboard.
To get Pytha△, first take the sharps turns without Parker🎷, then the steep slope without TB-303🤖 and finally if you have Stevie🎹 with Kim🎻, you can take the rocky path. Now you have rockets !
Finally to get Jojo🐱, you must leave Louis🎺 and Kim🎻 to go through the tunnel.

The train was very funky !
The first thing I thought (and I was excited about) was the music gaining speed and volume with the speed of the train. The second one was the possibility of the added instruments and the music changing when getting more people on the train just before accepting Jim in.
The whole visuals are very funky and funny, the characters are super colorful and cute, I got excited for the cat...Every wagon is so in tune with its character inside, I realized a bit late that you could see the people inside as well !!
It was not too hard but not to easy too, just perfect.
I realized a bit late too but the train tracks changes colors depending on the order and people on your train !!! That's just too cute !! (I think I almost had a lesbian flag at some point xD

Thanks for the kind comments! Yeah the track color gradients was something I kinda randomly stumbled on during the first day, and immediately worked well as we kept adding colors. As the days of testing went by we kept randomly inventing new pride flags haha
